MOT advisory: tyre cracking or perishing
Advisory: the vehicle passed
Tyre slightly damaged/cracking or perishingDVSA wording, MOT inspection manual item 5.2.3 (d) (ii)
Rubber hardens and cracks with age and sunlight, usually first on the sidewall. The tester saw small cracks or light damage. A tyre can have plenty of tread left and still be perishing, which is why this turns up on cars that do few miles.
