What it shows

  • A yellow slide: 1 of 240, 1991 Ford Fiestas with a valid MOT today. How many like it are still going
  • A green slide: the only one, 1991 Fiesta recorded as an XR2i with a valid MOT. Its trim, and how rare that is
  • A dark slide: 1 of 26 black ones with a valid MOT today, over a chart of the survivors' colours. Its colour among the survivors

Then where its plate is from, its mileage, its own MOT record and its age. Every figure is counted against the others like it that are still on the road.

Common questions

How rare is my car?

Type its registration into the box above. The slides open with how many like it, same make, model and year, still have a valid MOT.

Is it free?

Yes. No sign-up and nothing to unlock.

What does still going mean?

It has an MOT that is valid today, or is too new to need one yet.

What counts as the same model?

Every trim and engine of it first registered in the same year, so a Fiesta XR2i is counted with all Fiestas. The trim slide then picks out its own trim.

Is my registration kept?

No. The counts are asked for by make, model and year, without the plate. The privacy notice has the detail.

Can it tell me who owns a vehicle?

No. The MOT record holds no names or addresses, and a plate's region is only where it was first issued.
